Born in Russia, but raised in the PNW, Ilona has fully embraced all the Seattleite stereotypes. At any given moment, her body is 80% caffeine, she has vague plans to hike, and her real schedule is all booked up with board game nights and plans to try the newest conveyer belt sushi place.
Ilona earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Washington in 2013 and has been specializing in multimedia communication and content strategy ever since. She’s written for the Seattle Times, Seattle Weekly, Seattle Globalist, and many a UW program. She gravitated to video storytelling for its ability to connect us to the human experience and build empathy better than any other medium.
