JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk 

REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager 

FLSA STATUS: non-exempt, hourly

Job Summary: 

This role ensures that bills are paid accurately and on time, by working closely with the Production Team to manage expenses and meet deadlines. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: no 

Core Functions: 

Essential Functions: 

• Review and enter bills, per diems, expense reimbursements, and mileage reimbursements into accounting system 

• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any 

• Maintain an accurate and organized filing system for financial information, records, and documents in various systems 

• Monitor outstanding checks and reissue as necessary 

• Initiate vendor onboarding 

• Prepare credit card expense reports, audit receipts, and reconcile transactions 

• Investigate inquiries professionally to maintain vendor relations 

• Process 1099 filings 

Responsibilities: 

• Enforce processes to ensure compliance 

• Manage workflows and reduce bottlenecks to improve efficiency

Education and Experience: 

• Student of Accounting or Business Degree (Associates or Bachelors) 

• QuickBooks Experience 

• Excel Experience 

• Outlook Experience 

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

Work Environment: 

• This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers. 

• This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 

• Must be able to operate various electronic devices. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time Hybrid role, defined as a combination of remote and in-office / On-site work within the Greater Seattle Area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties). You are expected to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. The office generally operates from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.
