 JOB TITLE: Executive Producer 

REPORTS TO: Program Manager - Satellite 

FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried

Job Summary: 

This is a short-term contract from the date of hire through June 30th, 2025, with the possibility of renewing effective July 1st. 

You will lead large scale and complex video and broadcast projects for our client at Xbox. From concept to completion, the Executive Producer will collaborate and work closely with the client, executives, developers, and marketing partners to execute branded content to inform and entertain global audiences, and corporate communications content designed for large internal audiences. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• Direct and manage the production team, including camera operators, sound engineers, and other crew members while on set. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Lead development and execution of live broadcast and/or video productions alongside the team. 

  • Oversee day-to-day production logistics and manage production processes. 

  • Establish and maintain efficient and balanced processes for productions that are repeatable across multi-media content approaches and varying distribution platforms, while taking into consideration various team needs and compromises as needed. 

  • Work with studio operations and production teams, vendors, and external production companies to deliver creative, high-quality, and efficient solutions. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, both internal and external. 

  • Help impact thought-leadership around the state of content creation, including trends related to content creators, game developers/publishers, innovations in video production, and distribution technology and platforms, etc. 

Other Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Pre-Production/Development Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the overall vision and strategy for media productions. Requires constant tracking and familiarity with business objectives communicated by the client, as well as keeping a pulse on the current landscape, trends and feedback of stakeholders and audiences both internally and consumer facing. 

    • Content Development: Develop and pitch new ideas for media content that engages and informs the target audience. 

    • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for all projects. 

    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executives and leadership to ensure content aligns with corporate messaging and objectives. 

    • Quality Control: Ensure all productions meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism. 

    • Script Supervision: Oversee story development and scriptwriting to ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging. 

    • Talent Coordination: Manage the selection and coordination of on-screen talent, including executives, hosts, guests, etc. Ensuring time for rehearsal, messaging prep and wardrobe coordination. 

    • Scheduling: Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all projects. 

    • Distribution Pre-Planning: Draft or coordinate initial distribution plan, ensuring pre-pro through post-production is addressing the needs of the final delivery plans. 

    • On-set/Production Creative & Story Direction: Lead the direction of video projects, ensuring the story, script, and visual style are executed and captured to the quality and expectation of leadership and the target audience. ▪ You are expected to sit in the “EP Chair” with monitor in-front and script in-hand to track talent performance, take notes for any pickups and for post-production team, and to communicate needs to producing team and director as they happen in real-time. 

    • Team Leadership: Direct and manage the production team, including camera operators, sound engineers, and other crew members. As EP, you are the single voice between production and stakeholder/client, which requires constant communication, complete confidence, attention to detail and understanding of all aspects of the project to foresee any potential challenges or gaps. You either have the answers or know how to get them quickly. 

    • Technical Oversight: Supervise the technical aspects of production, including lighting, sound, and camera work, proactively communicating recommendations or required updates to approach based on final deliverable expectations. 

    • On-Set Management: Oversee all on-set activities, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to the production schedule. You set the tone and are responsible for interdepartmental communication, collaboration and keeping everyone focused on the priorities of the day(s). 

    • Talent/Speaker Direction: You are the single voice of feedback and direction for talent (Executives, hosts, guests, etc.) or in charge of selecting an individual to fill that role (ex. Director). Recording and script notes are consolidated through you for review and then communicated to talent. You are also responsible for tracking “talent presence/performance” against end goals and target audience expectations. This includes creating a comfortable space on-set for the talent to deliver their messaging, ensuring desired energy and message delivery, checking wardrobe throughout for any

    • sensitive or distracting issues, prioritizing necessary and unnecessary feedback, pushing for additional takes if you think they are required, identifying when talent needs a break or reset, and most importantly ensuring they don’t leave until you know what you’ve captured is the best it can be. 

    • Post-Production Post-Production Supervision: Guide the post-production process, including editing, color correction, and sound mixing. 

    • Review Coordination: You set the review schedule and expectations for post-production team and stakeholders. 

    • You ensure the correct reviewers and approvers are informed and staying on schedule. 

    • Distribution/Release Metrics and Learnings Reporting: Monitor audience feedback and analytics to refine and improve future productions. 

    • Expectations Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

    • Organization: You are extremely well organized and proactive in your approach to work 

    • Meetings: Working with Project Manager and producers to schedule and define agendas for meetings 

    • Project Prioritization: Work with client lead to determine which projects to prioritize, while being mindful of the health and balance of the broader team resources

Education and Experience: 

• 7+ years producing live broadcast and/or video format productions (Must have links to examples) 

• Experience working directly with c-suite executives and/or high-profile individuals both on-set and in meetings/presentations (Must have examples) 

• Strong experience producing and managing large-scale high-quality broadcasts in the entertainment or games industries from treatment to delivery. 

• Deep knowledge, understanding and experience in video storytelling in the entertainment and/or video game industry. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

Work Environment: 

This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers. 

This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 

Must be able to operate various electronic devices. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time Hybrid-WA role, defined as a combination of remote and in-office / On-site work within the Greater Seattle Area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties). You are expected to work in office at our client studio in Redmond as requested by our client. This is typically 2-3 days per week, but could be more or less depending on the need. This role will be expected to work remotely when there is no onsite work. The office generally operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week.
